How long will it take me to become an actor?
The answer is "how long do you expect to live". Musicians play everyday, singers sing everyday and dancers dance everyday. Most actors sit and wait for the phone to ring. Actors need to study their craft everyday in order to be ready to work in their field.

Do I have to be a professional to be in your class or can I start with no experience?
We teach beginning, intermediate and advanced acting. Practice is the path to mastering any art form. We have students eight years old and up that study at The Commercial Actors Studio. Novice or professional- the point is you should be studying if you want to work as an actor.

What do you teach?
Everything you need to know about the business, from the audition process, to on camera training, what types of photos you will need and how to get an agent.

Do I have to do commercials when I'm only interested in film?
The answer is yes. The training for commercials prepares the actor by developing the building blocks necessary to pursue film and television work.

What technique do you use?
Charles E. Conrad was the premiere inspirational film coach for many years in Los Angeles. His students were taught that the creative source of acting was achieved by placing your total concentration of attention away from yourself. This allows the actor to work moment by moment and impulse by impulse without a predetermined outcome.

Who uses this technique in Hollywood?
There are many actors who use this technique. The following is a small sample of the actors who use this technique: Dee Wallace Stone, Carl Weathers, Rita Wilson, Joe Penny, Dennis Quaid, Dennis Christopher, Linda Gray, Veronica Hamil, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kim Basinger and Terri Garr to name a few.
